i wrote this song after my grandma mae passed away. grief is hard and confusing, and everyone kept fighting about funeral arrangements, and who someone's real dad was, and who couldn't be at the funeral.
lyrics
Are we all
Full of this darkness
I wanna be the light
I wanna be the light
A light went out
Silently just for the night m
Tonight
You can see her in the sky
Well all wonder why
But there’s no reason
And there’s nothing you can do
Oh oh
Oh oh no
It’s so
It’s so strange now
So much
So much not knowing what to do
Well all wonder why
We couldn’t talk one more time
There’s no warning
There’s no reason
Some kind
Some kind of light in you
Some kind
Some kind of light in you
Some kind
Some kind of light in you
Some kind
Some kind of light in you
Can we stop this pattern
Before it’s too late again
Can we stop this pattern
Before it’s too late again
Can we stop this pattern
Before it’s too late again
Or is this darkness
Stuck in all of us
No matter we do
Or is this darkness
Stuck in all of us
No matter just what we do
But I wanna be the light
I wanna be the light
The Some kind in
Light in you
Some kind of light in you
And we all can feel it now
That there’s someone missing
